From our hotel you can reach the Main Railway Station (Hauptbahnhof) and the Central Bus Station (ZOB) in about 10 minutes on foot. The Horst Janssen Museum and the Stadtmuseum (City Museum) are located right across the street. The Staatstheater (Oldenburg State Theatre), the Lamberti Church, the Edith-Russ-House for Media Art, the Landesbibliothek, (Oldenburg State Library), the Kulturzentrum PFL including the Public Library, and the Kultur-Etage ('culture loft') can be reached within a few minutes just as well as the museum district and the neighbouring Schlossgarten (Palace Garden) with its famous dendrological collection. In the museum district you can find the State Museum of Art and Cultural History (distributed on three sites: Schloss (Palace), Prinzenpalais and Augusteum), the State Museum for Nature and Mankind and also the Oldenburg Art Association (Kunstverein). The Weser-Ems-Halle with numerous exhibitions and events throughout the year and the EWE-Arena for sports events are only 10 minutes away. You can reach the Marschwegstadion, which houses mainly athletics and soccer events by bus or by a 2 km walk. A pleasant leasure tour of 1,4 km through the Schlossgarten (Palace Garden) will lead you to the OLantis Huntebad, a wellness center with indoor and outdoor swimming, sauna, and fun facilities. The hospitals Pius-Hospital, Hospiz and Evangelische Krankenhaus are also close at hand. The Klinikum Oldenburg and the REHA-Zentrum Oldenburg are situated in OL-Kreyenbrück 3,5 km from the city center and can easily be accessed by bus. There is a direct bus connection to the Carl von Ossietzky University (both campuses: Haarentor and Wechloy) and to the University of Applied Sciences Oldenburg / Ostfriesland / Wilhelmshaven (Campus Oldenburg). In only 15 min on foot you can reach the Computer Science Institute OFFIS and the IT-enterprises, who settled in its vicinity. The city centre offers a wide range of culinary pleasures from medium-priced to upper-class meals. There is something for everyone´s taste.
